The main concern would be if you are breastfeeding. It can affect your supply of you don’t take enough nutrients and fluids, and there hasn’t been enough studies to find out if it’s completely safe. Otherwise, you can start with intermittent fasting and see how you feel.
Please let your body rest. Even when everything went well in pregnancy and birth you should let your body heal for a good 3-6 month before thinking about cutting your cals. Your body needs the nutrients and macros to rebuild tissus and muscles. This isn’t the time to diet. Please be nice to yourself and heal. Especially because you have a infection this isn’t a good idea. This could cause permanent damage. Talk to a professional please.
Your body went to a lot lately and has created a new human. You did amazing. Be kind to yourself. You can diet later when you have the energy again.
Hey, mommy, 😁 what does your Dr say?
I would guess hydration and electrolytes would be the biggest issues, and I kinda went into intermittent nutrition stuff in my other post. You should be ok!
Fasting with keto has definitely improved my blood sugar and wound healing. Just stop fasting if you don’t feel well, even with water & electrolytes. Stay flexible, see how you do, it’s not all or nothing - it’s a long way for all of us, bc it’s a lifestyle, not just a temporary diet (well, at least for me).
Keep posting, let us know how it goes! :)
