Starting today using Simple App

Hi everyone! I’m new to IF and just started today using the Simple App. I found that it helps incorporate everything for an overall health change in one place. I have about 55 lbs to lose, and I’m very serious about this because it’s the first thing my dr told me I need to work on for my unexplained fertility issues.

My question, for those that have seen this work well for weight loss and keeping it off: what is one piece of advice you wish you knew starting out? Or, what is something you would want a noob to know? Please keep it short and sweet, as I don’t want to get overwhelmed!! Thank you!! And I look forward to sharing my progress. :)

From my experience, a low carb/high fiber diet, a clean fast [water, coffee (plain), tea (plain)] and electrolytes (especially in the beginning) help tremendously on being successful easing into IF. Be kind to yourself and start slow 12-14hr fasts to start then increase fasting as tolerated. Lots of water!!!

2 hours isn’t a long time when you make yourself busy! There will be days where you’re close to giving up a few hours before your allocated time - the feeling aftwr you finish the fast and eat on these days will always be better than if you give up a couple hours early! Those are the days you instill discipline into your diet.
