How ‘bad’ is taking stimulants on an extended fast? I have been prescribed methylphenidate (aka ritalin) but I am not familiar with potential side effects this drug might have when taken in a fasted state.

I know from personal experience that Ritalin (and all other mainstream ADHD meds) eliminate hunger, so that will help immensely, especially into your 2nd and 3rd days. Additionally, they raise your heart rate which will be helpful in fat-burning.
