If you drink too much, you just pee it right out along with the electrolytes you need. Your urine should never be clear and you can use the color of your urine to know if you need more water or not. You were craving sodium because you didn’t have enough and that’s why you were hungry.

Answer

Yes.. personally I do not need that much water OR electrolytes. I need about 4 glasses of water all day long. No matter how much they say I should have… and at that point my piddle turns pretty clear.. so that is what I do.

Answer

Too much water can be just as bad as not enough. Most people drink too much water and supplement electrolytes too little.

I’m fasting and I had 8000mg or more sodium yesterday in like 3 liters of water. I didn’t drink liquids other than two cups of coffee on top of that, and I even added a few pinches of salt to the coffee.

Another thing – I’ve started following a rule when I’m not fasting – I only drink plain water when I’m eating, otherwise I add electrolytes.

Answer

You ever got one of them electric scales that tracks trends? When I got into fasting, with electrolytes, went from like 51% body water weight to like 61%.

It is just a twenty dollar scale but it seemingly track trends like that.
