Struggling to sleep at time

I started IF 6 days back and I lost 3kgs - 6 lbs in this time but the problem is I heard you need to sleep before 11 pm for IF to work and I’ve been fasting 16-18 hours but sleeping at 12:30-1am. That’s because I finish my remote shift at that time so I can’t sleep any earlier. I wake up by 10-10:30 am.

Does anyone have advice of what I need to do for IF to work better for myself

Answer

I haven’t heard of that. It sounds like you are getting a solid amount of sleep per night.

I would argue that the actual time you sleep or times you eat aren’t important. What’s important is you have fasting and feeding windows, coupled with quality sleep!

Answer

never heard of that. the only thing I’m familiar with is some research cited and compiled by a Dr. Michael Gregor “How Not to Die” that suggests that not eating at least 3 hours before your sleep time has a positive correlation with weight loss.
