I’m on day 9 of a 21 day water fast I’m struggling a lot today! It’s going to be raining in my area for the next 2 weeks so I used today to do a light bike ride to enjoy being outside before the rain hits. And it was awful. I could barely do it. My heart was racing and I was having trouble breathing and I was just so tired. I usually bike twice as far and twice as hard like 4x per week. I’ve also been having more cravings and urges to eat than I have the previous few days.
I’ve been taking supplements each day as well.
Today is just a low day and I felt the need to share.
This is the struggle your body needed. You are almost halfway through, perhaps some pickle juice or salts will help. Sleep is a great relief and fast forwards time. When I start playing the mental game of breaking my fast, I decide I will “sleep on it” first to move myself into the next moment and out of the present, more difficult one. I also watch fasting and fitness videos that help me recommit to my goal. You knew it would get hard, you can get through it.
