Struggling with doing OMAD without coffee

Hi guys! I’ve got a question - so I’ve been doing a mixture of 16:8/OMAD with an evening meal, for the last 18 months. It has done a good job of controlling my appetite, but I am finding the success of this is wholly dependent on caffeine. If I exercise early in the day, I am reliant on caffeine to curb my appetite at lunchtime and get me through to dinner or I really struggle. I also get a lot of headaches and feel pretty horrendous without caffeine at some point in the day.

Is there any way of making fasting “easier” without needing to use caffeine as a crutch?

Answer

Are you sure it’s caffeine and not an electrolyte imbalance? When mine are off I feel sluggish, tired, and get massive headaches.

I wouldn’t try to resolve this with sports drinks, but by using salt (i prefer pink Himalayan) and nu-salt, as well as magnesium in pill form.
