How many times have you attempted it? I’ve found that for each milestone, I need to fail like literally 10-15 times to build momentum to victories.

I would fail 18 hour fasts for like 2 weeks straight before finally pulling it off, then I upped my goal to a full 24 hour fast. Failed at it for weeks straight until I did it one day. Now I can pull off a 72 hour with ease, but an incalculable amount of failures occurred to build up that resilience.

I think it’s also wise to shift your perspective on the posts from this sub. While it can be a great motivator, it makes it look like everyone is able to pull this stuff off so easily all the time which can leave you feeling shitty about yourself. Just be aware of that and manage it how you see fit. Maybe this sub gave you the idea to do extended fasts, but you don’t need to be bombarded with the victories of others every day. Try to get into a state where you’re competing with nobody but yourself - because in reality, that’s what you’re doing.

It might take longer but you can start with 14:10 then 17:7 which are quite easy… when you start getting used to it go for 18:6 or 20:4 (daily fasts)…in like a month or two your body starts getting into a rhythm then shoot for the stars - do one 24hr or 36hrs…small progress really works
