Stuck to my window, feel like I ate 2x as much. Does this level out eventually?

So basically as the title says… I tried 16:8 today. The good news is I stuck to it! The bad news is… I feel like I ate twice as much as I do normally! I didn’t count the calories because I’m trying to avoid that but DAYUM the eat-beast was definitely unleashed.

Did this happen to anyone else when starting IF? Did you sorta CHILL TF OUT after a bit?

As long as you remain consistent this should correct itself quickly. The human body is pretty freaking genius in how it works, if you stick to the same window you’ll adapt hormonally and metabolically in a way that should correct this issue. The other poster stated it took them roughly 3 weeks to adapt, for me it took probably 3-4 days until I was golden. We’re all different but the point is if you stick to the plan your body will adapt to this.

Yep! Happened to me. Eventually it toned down. I recommend Gin Stephens’ book “Fast. Feast. Repeat.”! It helped calm me down about IF in the beginning, and it’s a great resource now that I’ve been intermittent fasting for over a year.

I did when i fasted 3-4 days per week. I am now doing it for 7 days and my hunger is normalized. I feel exactly the same as previous except i eat less snacks and nothing past dinner. Overall i would say i am more satiated which is honestly amazing to me because i am a grade a eat beast
