Answer

When fasting for 72 hours, the body produces human growth hormone up to 2000% for men and 1300% for women. It is this human growth hormone that protects the muscle and after 72 hours the body will slowly start to consume muscle. Credible sources can be found online.

Answer

Muscle loss while fasting is a myth.

“So the main question is this – if you fast for long enough, doesn’t your body start to burn muscle in excess of what it was doing previously in order to produce glucose for the body. Hell, no.”https://idmprogram.com/fasting-and-muscle-mass-fasting-part-14/
