Belly fat resistant to every-other-day fasting
Does anyone have anecdotal experience reflecting this?
I lost 80lbs with ADF. Stomach surely flat. These studies don’t always apply to real life and out of the countless people I’ve seen lose weight witj ADF not a single didn’t slim down their stomach area.
Maybe the effect is too minor to notice? Who knows

Looking at proteins that help determine which fat deposits are used is certainly an interesting idea. Mouse models are a reasonable place to start and can give us an idea of whether it would be worthwhile studying the effect in the animal we care about, humans. This topic probably is worthy of future study.
The biochemical mechanism is fairly likely to translate to humans. That’s why mouse models can be a useful indicator. One day of fasting for a mouse, however, is not remotely comparable to one day of fasting for a human.
The problem might be the fast metabolism of mice. As far as I know it’s 6 times faster than ours, so studies on alternate day fasting in mice is not the same as it would be in humans (imagine 6days of fasting, 6days of eating in our case - I’m pretty sure that wouldn’t be a healthy thing to do regularly).
Unfortunately I don’t have own experiences on that to share with you.
