fasting for women is particularly complicated . i would look into that more maybe.
intermitting fasting is a great tool for health and to lose weight/boost hormones etc however like anything it can be abused. i think cycling periods of it would work best based on activity. if you had a chill day and not doing anything that could be a 16/8 day but if youre super active or workout that day you know then that could be 12/12. i think it all really depends on activity ie what are your plans!
I stunted my growth as a teen by not eating enough. Was 5”2 at 12 yrs old and 5”2 now as a legal adult.
The best thing you can do as a teen is eat mostly balanced food, exercise a bit each day, get good sleep. Eat when you’re hungry and stop when you’re full. Your weight and height will balance out to wherever they need to be.
“Teen” covers an incredibly wide range. At 13 I never recommend any kcal restriction whatsoever and focus exclusively on making better food choices and learning to love exercise. By age 19, that can change a bit. Moderate restriction depending on current status, along with food choices and exercise.
The younger you are, the more outsized effect exercise can have on weight and fat loss.
Intermittent fasting can be great, but again it depends on your age and current situation. Ultimately it’s a restriction diet, so tread carefully.
