Taking meds?

Is there a way to put something on your stomach for taking meds without breaking fast? I intermittent fasting which leaves me with an empty stomach for most mornings. I use to just eat something when I wasn’t feeling well and had to take meds like ibuprofen that will hurt the stomach. I’ve had a pain for awhile and have been taking 800mg ibuprofen for it and it makes an empty stomach upset. Any info will help. Thanks

In my opinion, it depends on what you’re fasting for. If it’s for weight loss mainly, there are a few things you can have that can still count as fasting. Autophagy and stuff is harder, what I have heard is anything with protein will slow that down. You have to do what works for you.Me personally, I eat a pickle with my meds. Gets me some extra sodium and doesn’t have basically any other value. I do not consider it a fast breaker.

I follow Dr Jason Fung and he has said you can take some pills with chia seeds (after they’ve been plumped up with water) or a leafy green. While it may “technically” break your fast, it’ll keep you going and stop you from getting sick from taking the pills on an empty stomach.
