I’m doing 16/8 and 18/4 fasts, and I usually swim or do strength training at the end of these fast. I’d like to use some creatine and or beta aline to help with recovery and lactic acid buildup. Is this a bad thing to do, to even consider taking a pre workout after a workout and fast?
I mean I wouldn’t take something with say a bunch of caffeine after the workout, but if I’m understanding this correctly it would be in your eating window so you can do whatever you want.
I will say that creatine is more of a loaded substances anyways, ie you take it until it reaches a certain level and continue to take it to maintain. So you can take creatine basically whenever. The beta-alanine however should primarily be taken before or during exercise is my understanding. So what effect it has after a workout I’m not sure.
