So, I am curious if testosterone levels drop during an extended fast? I have watched a few YouTube videos where the author claims that testosterone levels drop with a calorie deficit diet so interested in the ramifications of an extended fast? I inject Testosterone Cypionate so probably not an issue for me. I typically do a 5 to 7 day fast once a month as well as IF. Down 50 pounds so far with 30 more to go.
Typically any catabolic state will lower testosterone. So will losing a single night’s rest.
When it comes to weight loss there is two sides.
Catabolic states typically lower testosterone
Fat loss will decrease adipose tissue resulting in less aromatization of testosterone into estrogen in the receptors of the fat. Fat steals testosterone and replaces it with estrogen.
Basically the more fat you carry beyond 15% (This kind of depends on the individual) or so takes your natural production of test and just cleves the molecule into estrogen promoting more fat storage. I’m unsure if it would do the same thing with TRT but it would stand to reason that it most likely would.
P.s how are you injecting it? Are you pinning 1 dose every week? That’s the advice of most clinics, they just kind of slap you on a dose and fail to mention anything about the natural release of test from the balls or explain how you can best replicate the release in relation to your natural circadian rhythm.
