the best protein powders

I want to find a decently priced protein powder that isn’t chalky, blends well and doesn’t have a bad aftertaste. So far I’ve used Arbonne’s vanilla and coffee pea protein, Vega from walmart and Vegan pure. I don’t really care if it’s vegan or not, just as long as it doesn’t have that chalky taste. The Arbonne one is the only protein I have actually enjoyed but I’m not about to fork over $90 for a bag. Unless that’s the price you pay for good protein? I’m new to all of this so let me know!! I’ve heard Myprotein is good. Anyways, suggestions?

edit: I’m from Canada so anything that I could find in a GNC store or online would be great!!

Answer

if you are in Canada, the best place for proteins or any supplements would be Popeyes. The whey protein brand i have been using for 10 plus years is Optimum Nutrition Whey. It is pricey but high quality and you are getting the amount of protein listed and not full or other fillers. Most importantly, ON has been tested for heavy metals such as arsenic, lead, cadmium, and it scored the lowest out of all the major brands. I personally would stay away from the cheaper brand proteins, as some contain only 20-30% of the listed protein amount.

I’ve tried multiple brands and haven’t had good luck until I switched to Mtn Ops, I get the magnum mocha and absolutely love it, mixes great and doesn’t have the chalkiness. Also doesn’t make my stomach upset like the gnc brand did.
