Those of you doing multi-day fasts, what did you do to prepare for it?

I did a 24 hour one and would like to go longer but got a migraine the next day and couldn’t even make it 22 hours. I am very sensitive to headaches and cannot function with them. I’m wondering if I should quit processed foods or something for a while beforehand.

Did those of you doing 3-7 day fasts do any preparing beforehand?

Hey!

Right now I am 175 hours into a 200 hour fast (was going to stop today at day 7 but decided to go for 200).

My prep:

• I have stayed in nutritional ketosis since my previous fast

• I have been eating OMAD to 16:8 since my previous fast

• I have stayed in nutritional ketosis most of the last 3-4 years

• The two days prior to my current fast, I ate keto carnivore OMAD in an aggressive caloric deficit, restricting carbs 100%: 200g lean bacon and 6 eggs scrambled with two spoons of lard and the bacon grease from the 200g of lean bacon, in one meal

• The two days prior to my current fast, I restricted my hydration window as well, down to 1.5 hours and less than 2L of water, of which I included black coffee, and water mixed with electrolytes

• The two days prior to my current fast, I supplemented about 5g sodium chloride, 5g potassium citrate, and 500mg magnesium citrate

175 hours in, I feel amazing!
