Thoughts of fasting during eating window?

Hi everyone. I’ve been using 18:6 (with weekly fast days mid-week) for a few months and have seen some useful benefits - I am no longer overweight, my sleep is better, I rarely get breakouts in my skin, all sorts!

I was wondering about the view on fasting during the eating window. For example, if I my window is 1300-1900 then should I stick to water and black coffee during that time or might I as well use milk/cream? I will normally eat 2 full meals in that period with no snacking. I’m only talking about during my eating period, I’m strict during fasting time so only water and plain black coffee.

Is there any benefit apart from calories consumed to fasting during the eating window? Does anyone have information regarding the effect longer term insulin resistance?

Thanks!

Answer

You can eat whatever you want during your eating window. However, results will not be as quick. A little cream in your coffee definitely won’t hurt. As long as it’s in your eating window. Also limiting your calories while eating healthy will produce rapid results.
