Thoughts on fat girl diet vs rolling fasts?

Hi! I’m not sure if anyone here would really know the answer to this, but I was just wondering if there is a reason to do rolling fasts over what Cole recommended in the Fat Girl diet video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8VD9rjN1zek) –which is more of a keto omad routine. Obviously the keto omad sounds easier (I end up with migraines with 72s so I mostly do 48s with smaller refeeds than he recommends in this video), but would love any input from anyone who knows more than I do! For reference I’m 39F, 5’3 and 195 lbs so I definitely have the fat to lose–I just want to do what’s most efficient! Any thoughts would be awesome. Thank you.

Answer

Whatever routine you can maintain in an extremely disciplined manner while limiting the amount of stress it causes is the way forward. If that’s OMAD keto for you, stick to OMAD keto. If you can do the 48’s but you’re losing sleep over it and you can’t stop thinking about food, it’s not worth it.

Answer

What is most healthy is to lose the weight in the fastest way possible which is to be always in ketosis even after your meals and longer fasts will help you lose weight faster than OMAD which is usually recommended for those who are lean and want to maintain their weight. If you had headaches during your fast, try to add a little bit more salt to your snake juice or build up your fasting muscle slowly. Anything longer than 36h fast will help you lose weight and the longer the fast, the faster you will lose it as long as your refeeds are low carb and you stay in ketosis. If 48h is your jam, stick to that and try to extend step by step your fasting time, but dont force yourself, listen to your body. In the end, the most important is to be consistent so choose a method and stick to it.
