Thoughts on my plan?

Hey everyone! I thought I would try something different and make a year long plan/goal. My goal is to if (16:8) 225 days, intense workout (f45 or equivalent) 225 days, and weigh myself 225 days between now and 12/31. This is roughly 2 out of 3 days. Is there some glaring flaw to this plan/goal?

One thing I would add is just having milestone goals along the way. Break it down to monthly goals or another timeline that makes sense to you - and make sure to celebrate those milestones.

A year is a heck of a long time and motivation at the beginning doesn’t always last, so find a way to motivate yourself every month as you build up your consistency.

Another option (assuming this isn’t already your routine) is to try it out for 2-3 weeks and see how you feel. At that point you can decide to extend it to the whole year.

It’s also worth thinking about how you’ll adapt to the inevitable interruptions to your plan such as illness, injury, travel, visiting relatives, social events, etc. Think about how you’ll feel and what steps you’ll take to get back on track if you miss a (or a few) workouts, fasting days, or weigh-ins.

Answer

I think your plan on the paper is good, but in reality, it would be better if it was more flexible. If you are just starting, you don’t know if your chosen fasting program would work for you. It could also work now but not in the future.

Think about what you would like to eat and what you would like not to eat too often or entirely.

Think also about your goals. What would you like to achieve. What motivates you to go on IF.
