Throath hunger and Zero Soda

Just for stats, i am 28M, probably around 12 - 14% body fat wanting to go down to 8%.

Everyone else says that after day 3 fasting keeps getting easier and easier but for me its the complete opposite.

I begin to feel an uncomfortable hunger around my throat that just gets stronger by the days until it gets unbearable. Its 10x more uncomfortable than the normal stomach hunger that gives that feeling of a void in the stomach.

I know it breaks my fast, but as a way to try to soften that throat hunger i started to drink 2l of zero calories coke in one go once a day and the throat hunger goes away for the rest of the day.

Third day trying this and the weight keeps droping.

Anyone else can relate to this throat hunger or the soda experiment? Any tips and comments are welcome, i will keep experimenting this strategy and lets see what happens.

Answer

Do what works but for many sweeteners trigger hunger and spike insulin. I lost 5 lbs when I kicked a heavy Diet Coke habit, no other changes.

Have you tried plain mineral water to see if it has the same effects w/o the sweeteners?

This study just came out recently. https://www.archyde.com/sweeteners-increase-the-appetite-in-women-and-obese-people-calorie-free-sweeteners-increase-the-desire-for-food/

Fasting is easier at higher BMIs and rolling 72s ARE easier as heavier people get fat adapted. Cole has talked a lot about other schedules and ideas as you get leaner, like one snack before bed, cold baths, etc. Good luck!
