Hi everyone.
I first tried the 10am-6pm fasting, and it was so easy to do it. I did it for a week. However, I decided to switch to 12pm-8pm because I’m starting school next week and have classes from 8-12pm, so it’s unrealistic for me to eat during this time especially during COVID (I don’t want to take my mask off). I’m on Day 2 with this new schedule, but the problem I have been encountering is I start getting tension headaches and feeling dizzy around 11am and it’s hard for me to focus. I’m not surprised by these symptoms because I’m pretty sensitive to hypoglycemia, and as soon as I have some food, the headache and dizziness will immediately resolve. None of these symptoms appeared during the 10-6pm fasting schedule, but I have been having problems with 12pm-8pm.
I’m not asking for medical advice here. But do you have any tips on how to reconstruct the timing schedule? Or any tips in general? I know I can greatly benefit from intermittent fasting, but it’s unfortunate that I cannot pursue 10-6pm due to classes. I’m a IF novice, so any of your ideas are greatly appreciated. THanks!
I assume that’s your eating window and you’re fasting overnight? It’s less stressful for your body to shift your timing around about an hour each day until you reach your goal. Your body didn’t have an issue with the length of fasting in the beginning, but now with the time of fasting it seems. I had headaches for a few days until I adjusted, but they went away. Make sure you get enough electrolytes during your eating windows and consider if a daily supplement is good for you. If it goes beyond like 5 days, you may need to consider a change of your windows.
