Tips for maintaining energy to work well?

Day 3. Overdid it a bit yesterday and pretty low energy today.

Have some medium mental effort tasks to do for work today. Done one so far… Finding it hard to maintain focus and stay the task.

There’s no shortcut.

You have to wait until your body adapts, if it ever does.

Some people report excellent mental clarity and focus during fasting. But others don’t, even after long, repeated fasts.

It could be genetic, or perhaps it has to do with the amounts of poly-unsaturated fats or toxins from plant foods that have accumulated in the body.

If you’re willing to break your fast but maintain autophagy and low insulin levels - you could try drinking coffee or tea with MCT oil and butter or cocoa butter. MCT oil is supposed to improve brain function because it’s a fuel source the brain can use directly

I’m probably annoying people with this but it’s been so life changing that I cannot NOT share this but look into breathwork breathwork breathwork. The book I use as a reference is The Oxygen Advantage by Patrick M. 100% boost to my day. Especially the mornings. I tend to wake up very fatigued but this helps so much. After a proper session it feels like the way i always should be, if that makes any sense. Like somehow life has dulled my senses and this just flips me back on.

What you eat prior to a fast affects a lot of the mental focus during the fast from my experience, though every fast is different. As is each day.

I always find the best approach is go as long as you can dry until you feel crap then switch to water fast. There is nothing magic about going for the very long fast. Much better make it a lot more sustainable and enjoyable for yourself and do it more frequent.
