For me personally, it was better to work with my cravings than against. I am also a nighttime snacker and I didn’t want to give it up.

So my eating window became 2-10. So snack- dinner- snack. Evening Netflix snack is always a chocolate protein shake and popcorn. It’s low calories, I get some extra protein and I satisfy the craving.

What worked for me was setting a strict time window to eat. I wouldn’t focus on what I was eating necessarily but if the time window is short enough, you can only eat so much. If I was tempted to cheat really bad, I would limit myself to 1 hour per day. That meant I had to focus on eating satisfying food instead of junk.

Good luck! I’m feeling some cravings right now… its 3am and I really want a snack :(

I’m getting eating cravings right now too. Usually it’s because I’ve had something sugary in the past few days. I do not give in. I tell myself I can have that snack tomorrow.

When tomorrow comes, hopefully I avoid sugar and break that craving cycle. If I fail, at least I kept to my eating schedule. Still a win.

So far the only thing I’ve found that KINDA helps is tea or very cold water. I’ve bought a lot of tangy fruit teas and some that are like dessert flavors.

Those help me when I’m home alone and desperately want snacks. Plus I’m obsessed with hydration so tea and ice water make me feel like I’m being healthy which sort of deters some cravings.

If I’m NOT alone….then it’s way harder to not snack and I end up caving to cookies and chips.
