So many of the questions on this sub are from people who like the idea of fasting but aren’t taking any time to learn about fasting basics. Asking questions is good, but getting up to speed by reading the Wikis on the front page is the best place to start. Dr. Fung has a ton of great videos. His book Obesity Code is more than helpful. A kind soul on this sub recommended the Huberman Lab Podcast 41. I can’t wait to listen to this Harvard Medical school neurologist.
Talk to your doctor or find a doctor to support you. In the last week, I’ve seen 2 posts from people with eating disorders. I read yet another post from a minor. No doctors recommend fasting for people with growing bodies.
I can’t say this loud enough - educate yourself before you stop eating. If you can’t quickly tell whether a beverage or other product will safely support your fast - just stop. Start reading and learning and then make an educated decision to fast.
This post seems out of touch and unkind. Maybe if you are too above some questions, you just don’t gave to respond. Newbies post questions because they need support. Seems like helping people should be the point. Maybe if you can’t handle newbies, start an advanced fasting sub. Because this attitude sucks.
