Hi, I’m new to this. I’m 5 days in. I suffer from health anxiety and regularly get all sorts of weird conditions. Headaches, nausea, dizziness, and any other manner of stuff. I haven’t figured out why yet.
I’m trying to lose weight, which is why I’m doing OMAD. I’ve noticed recently I’ve got a lot more dizziness/lightheadedness than I usually have, but I can’t tell if my diet is contributing to that. Thing is, if I eat some very salty food I normally get dizzy and lightheaded afterwards. If I don’t eat, I get the same. So which is it? I have no idea.
I’m not sure if it’s even electrolyte related. It’s really, really damn hard for me to distinguish between symptoms I should pay attention to (e.g electrolyte deficiency) and stuff my brain is making up due to anxiety/muscle tension causing me problems. Does anyone have any advice or rules of thumb that might be useful for this predicament?
I don’t have blood pressure issues. I checked that today, doing ok.

23 hr fasting could be improving the insulin sensitivity of your cells, which enhances the insulin spiking effect of carbohydrates. if you eat enough carbs during the next 2-3 days following each fast, cells more rapidly pull in nutrients and electrolytes, creating symptoms like dizziness. i would avoid high or moderate amount of carbs on OMAD if this is the case, at least until you get used to 23 hr fasts. cut them on your next meal and see how it goes.
