Tracking blood sugar and fasting

So I started this thing where I check my glucose levels and I don’t eat my next meal until it gets low enough. And there is fasting so many hours. I decided to try after hearing about benefits of it. So there were people saying how they could literally get down to a glucose of 80 mg/dl. I only manage to get around 115> mg/dl, but never below 100 mg/dl when I haven’t ate like 5 hours and I’ve hungry AF. Any tips on either getting through the hungry to fast longer or lower those numbers in a reasonable amt of time?

Answer

Your body and mind needs to get used to fasting. If it has been trained to get food every 2-3 hours while awake, it’s difficult to change it one go — at least in a long term sustainable way. Start with fasting for 12 hours — 8 hours sleep and 2 hours fasting on either side or 4 hours before sleeping, if breakfast is a must. Then on a week, extend to 13 hours. Do it slowly, but consistently.
