Type 2 diabetic question

I’ve been doing some remedial searches and not getting the answer to this:
If my blood sugar drops at night (which it has since starting this) around 2am. I have to eat. I eat enough to pop my glucose up and that’s it.
So really the question is: Is this action making intermittent fasting pointless for that day?

Pros:
Limiting my food intake
Making my food choices better, thinking more about it instead of mindless eating
Cons:
Not getting the full benefit of IntFast since I’m having to break it.

What are your thoughts on this? Keep going even though some nights I’m not getting to goal? Stop because I can’t really get a fast in about 2x a week? I am tweaking my meds in the hopes of regulating this for more success in the meantime.

Answer

You definitely need to talk to a doctor but anecdotally My 80-year-old father was able to get off meds for his type 2 diabetes by intermittent fasting and doing lower carb and exercise. Good luck my friend

Answer

I used to have to eat close to the time i went to bed or i would wake up in the middle of the night hungry!

Once i started Keto that problem went away!

Good quality fats work magic! they burn slowly unlike processed carbs which burn quickly!
