Unable to fast due to working out

As silly as it sounds, I started fasting about 3 months back. Was doing well, and then the connect it made me feel with my body acted as a gateway to working out. I’ve been regularly working out and playing sports for over a month now and as much as I love it, I’m unable to fast because of it.

It’s either due to:

  1. Hunger from these activities
  2. That feeling of ‘ah screw it im doing enough’.

I’m pretty sure whatever I’m doing physically will be enhanced with IF. But how do you make it stick? How to deal with post workout hunger pangs ?

I do 18:6. 5pm to 11 am fasting window.

Answer

I can understand what you’re saying. What has helped me is exercising at the end of the fasting window, just before eating. When I’m back from my run I take a shower and then have something to eat. It’s a great motivator to exercise knowing I can eat as soon as I’ve finished and it’s a great feeling to sit down and eat afterwards.
