Answer

Saturated fats aren’t unhealthy.

There are many triggers including smoking and pregnancy in terms of food there is the following list.

These are some of the common acid reflux foods that trigger symptoms:

Alcohol,Carbonated beverages,Chocolate,Citrus fruits, such as oranges or lemons,Coffee or tea (regular or decaffeinated),Fatty or fried foods,Foods containing tomato, such as spaghetti sauce, salsa, or pizza,Garlic and onions,Mint,Spicy foods, such as those containing chili or curry.

Answer

Anything can cause reflux, triggers are variable by person. Saturated fats tend to be more of a trigger than unsaturated fats though.

Switching saturated for PUFA and MUFA will also benefit your heart health. <10% of your calories from saturated is good, <5% is great. For me 5% is 13g of saturated per day.
