Vitamins and their effects

Until recently i didnt believe vitamins from a shop could have any noticeable effect. I had in the past taken tablets of the a-z multi vitamin variety, and noticing no effect dismissed them.

Recently i was gifted liquid zink, liquid vitamin d2. Big vitamin c tablets. And another oxford mix powder (not sure what that is).

After taking a few drops of the zink one night i noticed it DOES have a pronounced effect on my sleep and dreams. So i then got some vitamin b 12 which i find gives me a lot of energy - sometimes a bit too much to get good sleep.

Armed with the knowledge vitamins can be effective i am curious to know what effects each can have.

What likely effect might the various vitamins available have on a person?

One last question - are vivid dreams a sign of good sleep or bad sleep?

Answer

I can’t answer the question about vivid dreams. I suppose if they are so bad that they wake you up it is no good.

Certain vitamins are known to cause headaches at high dose. In fact, most can have negative side effects.

I’ve been taking athletic greens. It’s crazy how much more effective liquid and powder vitamins are than capsules. I honestly think my body doesn’t do a great job at breaking down the capsules.
