First of all, you guys blew me away with all your answers on my fasting post, so I really appreciate it. Sadly I’m 30 and I’m honestly just getting. Into. The whole taking care of your body thing. Eating how I want and when I want has finally caught up to me And. I’ve had. And awakening on how important it is to try to keep my body as healthy and functioning well as possible. That being said, the topic is vitamins. I have some people tell me that. They are. Basically pointless because your body makes enough vitamins and you just pee them out etc etc. I’ve also been told that. If you’re not getting your vitamins from actual food sources, then. They are pointless as well. So my questions are. Number 1. What do you think the most important vitamin is that Everyone should be taking? .#2. Are the vitamins you get in, a pill the same as the vitamins you get from food? 3. I have been consistent with vitamins before, however I’ve never noticed anything different or felt healthier. Is this normal? I have friends that take like a B12. A pill and. They tell me they feel like they can run a marathon after whereas I could take one and just go to sleep I never feel the effects of. any vitamin I’ve ever taken
PS currently I just take a multivitamin. Once a day and yes, it is a gummy, which I also heard. Thst gummies Are no good.
So Long story short, I’m going to Start taking fasting seriously. Do I need to get vitamins since I’m not going to be getting a lot of nutrients and if I’m being honest, even when I’m not fasting I don’t get the nutrients that I should. I don’t eat terrible on the days that I am eating, but I can’t say that every day I get a vegetable or a fruit in me……
Make sure you’re taking the most bio-available vitamins you can afford. Don’t waste your money on synthetics. Vitamin D needs vitamin K and magnesium to strengthen bones. Vitamin K tells your body where to correctly put the calcium. An easy way to tell whether a multivitamin is good - check the form of vitamin B12. Cyanocobalamin is a synthetic form of vitamin B12 found only in supplements, while methylcobalamin is a naturally occurring form that you can get through either food sources or supplements.
