For beginners, is a multivitamin as effective as taking many single supplements? And what is a good tip for when/how to take them?
Supplements really are supposed to add to an already healthy diet if you’re trying to maximize effects and absorption. I just take the stuff I like to pinpoint the effects I want. Including B12, turmeric, magnesium, Vit C and D, and sometimes mushrooms. If I’m doing things right I should be getting all of these through my food but sometimes it comes down to MCT + coffee or tea + vitamins and a scoop of yogurt to get my gut, brain, and body on the same page in the morning.
