Walking while dry fasting?

Hey :) for those of you who do regular dry fasting of any type .. I am curious if you walk or do any exercise while fasted and what the effects of the exercise are for you.

I am an experienced water faster - not an experienced dry faster. I have done restricted liquid fasting (max 5 days) but not a pure dry fast.

But… i walk about 10 miles a day, no matter if I am fasting or not. I always figured that physical exertion would help with fat burning once in deep ketosis. However … I am finding that recently I am losing more weight doing maybe 2-3 … or even no… miles at all.

What has your experience been? Is it too much? Maybe? 10 miles… does it create some sort of inflammatory response or a rise in cortisol?

In my opinion it’s better to avoid longer walks on a dry fast, because DF is all about giving your body time to relax and heal, and lose that excess fat of course. Maybe one or two short walks (1-2 miles) per day are enough, especially in the morning and evening. Even that will be enough to drastically increase your heart rate, so be careful and listen to what your body is telling you.

That being said, I did walk more than 10 miles every day during my five day dry fast, mainly because of my job. It’s doable, but heart will beat some drums in your ears, and beg you to stop that nonsense. :)
