Water Fasting or Dry Fasting?

Anyone tried dry fasting? Is it better than water fasting? Which is better for weight loss? Thanks

Answer

From what I’ve read the minimal added weightloss benefits to dry fasting are VASTLY outweighed by the negatives. Be careful with fasting, it’s not a joke you are stressing your body. Fasting is insanely beneficial and your body does get used to it, but I don’t think anyone would offer the advisement of dry fasting.

Answer

Most Jews do a 25 hour dry fast every Yom Kippur. Based on many years of experience, I would tell you that a dry fast is much harder than a water fast. Obviously, I don’t think a once a year dry fast is harmful, but I wouldn’t do it on a constant basis.
