From what I’ve read the minimal added weightloss benefits to dry fasting are VASTLY outweighed by the negatives. Be careful with fasting, it’s not a joke you are stressing your body. Fasting is insanely beneficial and your body does get used to it, but I don’t think anyone would offer the advisement of dry fasting.
Most Jews do a 25 hour dry fast every Yom Kippur. Based on many years of experience, I would tell you that a dry fast is much harder than a water fast. Obviously, I don’t think a once a year dry fast is harmful, but I wouldn’t do it on a constant basis.
