Water Vs dry

What differences do YOU ACTUALLY notice if any between doing a water fast Vs a dry fast. Talking about extra benefits a dry fast offers?

I’ve done a lot of water fasting, it’s great, lots of benefits. I’ve done a few dry fasts and haven’t noticed anything extra gained.

Without quoting supposed ‘science’ of what a dry fast does, do you feel a difference? If so, what and how was it different/better?

Answer

No hunger. Only thirst which is actually a wonderful feeling. Nothing like quenching thirst after a good dry fast. I feel more blissful( nothing external is entering the temple) really inclined to be in nature. Very calm overall. Rapid healing of damaged tissues. Enter ketosis much quicker .

The body still uses energy to process water so when your dry fasting your energy towards healing and feeling is all freed up

Answer

No hunger. Less acid reflux (reflux starts day 1 of water fast but often doesn’t show up until day 4 or 5 on dry fasts and is also much more mild).I also get more dramatic skin improvements after a seven day dry vs the same time on water fasts. Im much more comfortable on dry fasts. This is the main reason that I do them.

The real question becomes, how often can you dry fast? No one can truly answer this.. some say once a season (4x a year), Dunning says 2x a year. The question is, at what point is it over-fasting, the same way you can overtrain.
