We all wrong about hard dry fast vs soft

Who here ever felt hydrated after a shower. Me, never, I always felt that I needed to put some lotion after a shower. So I did some research and turn out that showering actually remove water from your skin. Even more so with hot shower, which most people do.

To hydrate your self by your skin the water should be cold or be in a bath.

So taking a hot shower during a “soft” dry fast is actually harder that the “hard” dry fast.

Answer

I think showering does add water to the skin. E.g. I always shave just before I shower so that I don’t have to apply any moisturizer as the shower acts as a natural moisturizer. Also I dry-skin brush sometimes before I shower and my skin is really dry after I do that, but after I shower it is fine.

Having said that if I feel thirsty or have a dry mouth (whilst fasting), having a shower will do nothing for that.

So I’m not convinced either way.
