Wedding coming up in 7 weeks

Hey group! Always happy to be here amongst friends.

My(35 F) wedding is coming up in 7 weeks and I still need to lose 6 kg to feel really comfortable on my day / for pictures.

I’ve fasted for 15 years and it’s the one thing spiritually and mentally that has always helped me push through and embrace my strengths. I was at my goal weight before the pandemic but then I got out on some serious antidepressants and they pushed me to the biggest I’ve ever been (72 kg) and even though I was doing 4-6 day fasts I was not losing weight (turns out the anti depressants had an impact on my thyroids) and last year after trying everything for so long I felt so discouraged. But I never put on more weight because I refused to give up. Now I’m at 62kg and I just want to get to my goal weight of 56kg (I’m 1,62/5’3” so it’s not crazy low) to feel my best at my wedding. But I’m under so much stress sometimes it just feels very hard to do it now for some reason.

I did a 4 day fast last month and it was great, I just really need to push through and do this last few kilos.

If there’s any videos or recommendations to help me push through this week it would be greatly appreciated. I don’t put a specific amount of days when I start a fast. I go one day at a time.

Lots of love for this group!

I’m a huge fan of The Fasting Method podcast. The lady hosts are my buddies throughout my fasting journey. As someone who got married recently (at a higher weight than I thought I’d be comfortable with) it actually felt great to really enjoy the day and recognize I love my husband and he loves me even not at my “goal weight” I look back on the photos with love for myself and my body and all that it’s done for me. I wouldn’t be too hard on yourself to push that last few kgs it’s really not worth the stress.

I personally think you should set a goal. At least you can count down till it’s over.

For me, you got plenty of time but don’t procrastinate and stress out even more with 2 weeks to go before your big day to start. Set a goal, and crush it.

If it were me, I’d do a 5 day fast to kick things off, see where I am weight wise then re-access. If you’re at 58/59 then slide into keto diet for a week or so. Make sure to maintain around 60 (water retention will push you up some) then fast again in 2 weeks and you’ll easily your goal weight.

Your goal is very attainable! Nothing to stress about. You got it and congrats on your big day.
