Just finished my first dry fast.

length- 7 days and some change, from Aug. 1 -Aug 8.

Prep- water, coconut water, 2 pickles and a little pickle juice. I was really preparing for another extended water fast but my body has been trying to dry fast for a while so after reading a little I gave in and let my body do what it wanted.

Feeling- I felt great during the fast. Easiest fast that I’ve ever done and I’ve fasted a lot. I would’ve kept going but the heat and humidity where I live had other plans for me. Started feeling lightheaded every time I had to go out in the heat to let my dog out.

broke fast with baking soda water sips over two hrs. then some regular water. My appetite came back after that so I Juiced a little broccoli and lemon. Felt fine with that but still hungry so I made a scrambled egg and been satiated since. Pretty close to how I usually break my short water fasts (7 days and under, minus the baking soda water).

weightloss pre-refeed- 35.4lbs. The only other time I’ve lost that much was a 15 day water fast I did years ago. I’ve still got more weight to lose but weightloss was my secondary goal.
