So, the end of my first serious month of IF (16:8, high protein low carb but not keto) went really well by the scale: I lost just shy of 7 pounds. However, when I took my body measurements, I was disappointed because they were almost exactly the same as before—I had only lost half an inch in the waist. I’m feeling great and have lots more to lose, so I’m keeping on the path, but…where did those 7 pounds come from? (I’ve also been lifting weights, and my clothes are fitting better, so the unchanging measurements have flummoxed me.)
Did you measure any other parts of your body. A good rule of thumb is that you lose last where you gain first.
Change comes from consistency over time. You don’t say your weight but depending on where you are 7lbs may simply not be that visible a difference. It’s still an awesome achievement though. Keep going!
