I’ve started going to the gym early in the morning on an empty stomach and have noticed I can’t lift as heavy as when I went in the evenings. Not sure if it’s because I’m tired/not fully awake yet or if it’s because I haven’t eaten. Any thoughts?
Depends what you mean by “bad”. You may notice a slight reduction in strength, but depends on person to person.
If you’re doing it to reduce body fat, training in a fasted state ultimately doesn’t matter as long as you’re in a caloric deficit. And muscle loss depends on how severe your cut is and how much protein you’re taking to help minimise it.
