What a difference 1 protein scoop for breakfast can make

Hi guys, I’ve been practicing IF on and off for years now, and I always feel cold in the morning while on it. I’ve been drinking 1 protein scoop in the morning lately and been having none of the cold feeling. I’ve decided to start IF again and now feel cold once again. It’s so interesting how 1 scoop can make so much difference.

Answer

Everyone else is acting like food is the enemy because you eat during your fasting window. I’ve also incorporated more protein powder into my eating window to avoid getting cold later in the day. I love pea protein.

Pea protein, baking chocolate and stevia lightly whisked into hot water is the bomb . Com.

Answer

you’ve heard the analogy that your body burns fuel? You put fuel in the furnace, even some, it has to be dealt with. Your body turned that pea powder into energy and heat/warmth are part of that.

That’s why people are cold when they are fasting. The furnace has been out for a long time.

Answer

It is great if it works for you, but just know that you are stopping your fast. Protein can induce insulin, and protein powders are known for inducing insulin quite a bit. If you are just concerned about losing weight, this will not be a problem. If you have extra skin you would like to get rid of or health issues that may require cellular cleaning, I wouldn’t recommend this.

My guess is that you might not be eating enough during your eating window.

In the end, if it keeps you from giving up on fasting completely I would rather you take the protein powder for now with the goal of removing it in the future when you are ready.
