Looking for some high calorie healthy foods. Anyone have any tips?
Whenever I need to eat something high calorie and healthy, I always eat an avocado. They don’t fill me up too much so I can eat more after. I take medication that suppresses my appetite as a side effect, so usually I need to eat high calorie foods when I remember
Full fat greek yogurt, steel cut oats, milk, barley, fatty fish, whole grain bread, eggs, olive oil, hard or raw cheese, granola, chicken thighs, cottage cheese, whole grain pasta, low sugar cereal, protein shakes
nuts and seeds (more healthy without salt) especially:
-walnuts, hempseed, chia seeds, flaxseed (omega3)
-pistachios (more antioxidants than most other nuts)
other:
-avocado, olives, dates, oats
a little bit lower in calories:
(fresh) mango, chickpeas, edamame beans, pinto beans, whole-grain foods
