I’m starting a 7 day soft dry fast which I know I can do but I need to find more effective ways to fill up my time.
After doing a few 24+ hour dry fasts I’ve noticed that I usually end up breaking them due to boredom.
Mentally it gets to me after a certain point and I find myself breaking the fast. Even though I know I could go days longer cause physically I’ll be great with zero cravings for food or water.
What are some activities/hobbies you guys do to keep your mind busy? Reading, writing, watching youtube videos, and listening to music have helped a lot in the past but recently they weren’t enough for a fast I broke recently.
I actually have a list of things to distract myself that I make before starting my fast.
The moment I start getting bored I have a look at it and pick something.
Usually the list looks like: Specific video games I’m currently playing, reading a book, practice a language I’m learning, watching YouTube storytimes, work on my business, do my nails, shop jewelry, clothing, makeup or browse reddit.
If one thing doesn’t look appealing I just move to the next possible distraction until I find something that I feel like doing.
Yeah good post and question man. Lack of stimulation through eating and nervous system detox makes you feel anxious about time. It’s a mindset.
Reading and watching videos about dry fasting is a very good way 🙂👍

When I am dry fasting I am very hungry and the thirst is just meh and pretty much the only thing that doesn’t bore me is stuff related to food like food videos or even shitty food games so yeah I enjoy those
