Answer

Contains a lot of unsaturated fats, which are good for your cholesterol and brain as opposed to saturated fats.

Fatty fish contains a lot of vitamins and minerals as well. And it is a great source of protein.

So it’s definitely not only the Omega3 that makes fatty fish a healthy choice.

However, the nutritional contents of the fish is heavily dependent on how it was raised. If it comes from a big fish farm where it got hormones, antibiotics as well as artificial food to eat the fish will most likely contain a lot less vitamins and minerals than it should.

So always choose biologically and hormone free farmed fish. For wild caught check it’s origins to make sure it was not caught in a highly polluted river / area to avoid consuming a bunch of toxins through the fish.
