What are the consequences of breaking a fast, then continuing the fast?

So, I’ve been feeling really good on my longest ever fast.

At 63 hours, I thought, “Hmm, maybe I can push it to 80 hours.” To which, my mind responded by giving me a panic attack. [3 cups of coffee + HGH/adrenaline prolly?]Tingling fingers and hands, sense of impending doom. Even texted my gf I was having a heart attack or panic attack.

So, in my freakout, I rushed to get some bone broth, thinking the fast was the issue. I drank one small mouthful then decided to go outside just in case I passed out or needed assistance.

I know technically any calories will break a fast, but the question I have is that if I drank literally 2-3 calories worth of bone broth at hour 63, would this ruin the autophagy benefits up to 72 hours?

Basically, is it still be beneficial to continue the fast.

Answer

Technically there are fast types like bone broth fast where you just drink water and have a lil bone broth for “dinner” or smth. So I think it’s not really breaking your fast :) it’s more like a “dirty-fast”
