What are the health benefits or risks of fasting 24 hours every week?

Fasting is great. I feel so energetic and invincible after the 18 hour mark. My stomach can finally rest and it doesn’t cause me any pain, bloating or cramps- my mood improves and most importantly I find that my medications (antidepressant/antipsychotic) are actually absorbed faster on an empty stomach.

I want to keep doing this at least 24 every week, permanently. Is this likely to cause any damage overtime?

I drink bone broth and take electrolytes in powder form on the days I fast.

I’m 24 years old, 4’11 and 129 lbs.

Answer

I fast 3-4 days per week and have for the last 2 months. Started at 250, 216 now. No negative effects to report beyond occasionally feeling a bit light headed when jumping up if the door rings or something.

I’ve been fasting Omad since last November, so it has been a year, I don’t know the risks since my body has adapted, also have to eat more since hard to get enough calories when you eat once a day. I’d say it’s more important what you eat not when you eat
