What are the keys to longer dry fasts? Max Ive done was 36 hrs

I am curious what are the keys to doing longer dry fasts anywhere from 48hours and upwards?

Getting used to it slowly. A normal person would feel terrible after 12 hours, but once you work up to it, 5 days will be straight up normal for you. As a beginner, get used to 12 hours, then stretch it a couple hours until you feel uncomfortable, then drink water. Repeat until you hit 48 hours at that point you get so used to using fat for water that you don’t even get thirsty after 5 days.

Just keep going. When you feel like you want to stop, don’t. What helps me stay motivated to keep going is when I see my old scars start to heal. I have things called keloid scars and they are a bitch. You can only really get rid of them with surgery. During a dry fast though, they get soft and smaller. That motivates me. Also, just knowing that the longer I go the more my body is cleaning itself. Look at it like this, when you go on vacation you’d rather be there for a week than a weekend right? Your body is thanking you for giving it a break. The longer the break, the longer the healing. The better the body functions. That’s how I look at it anyway.

Consistency. Fast for a day once a week until it’s easy, then 2 days until that’s easy, etc. whatever your goals are. I’ve mastered a 20 hour dry fast and a 36 hour dry fast really isn’t much different. I can do 2 days like it’s nothing because my body is so used to 20 hour dry fasts adding a little more is not a shock

It depends on your purpose. Treatment of complicated issues requires 9-day dry fasting (see the book of Dr. Sergey Filonov). For disease prevention, a 36 hrs fast weekly is enough. Decide what the purpose is and check the list of contraindications.
