Folate, the B vitamins etc. Im very interested to learn about this subject.
Every single one is vital, important and can’t live without them. Vitamins aren’t the only micronutrients either.
However, it’s relatively easy to become deficient in Vitamin D even with regular dairy and egg consumption. And can get deficient in B12 if you’re vegan. So they may be the most important to be intentional about, if that helps.
All vitamins are important, but an important one worth talking about is B complex vitamins. A lot of people take the replacement which is folic acid and are B deficient but have absorption issues and don’t realize they’re not able to absorb folic acid and actually it can build up/create toxicity in your system. So make sure you’re taking B vitamins the correct way. Start with loading up on B12 and work your way down the chain of #s. Obviously, this is not the case for everyone, some people can use folic acid without issues, but I’m speaking from experience and a diagnosis of MTHFR mutation which is surprisingly common.
Vitamins are substances that you’d get sick without a minimum quantity of them. More doesn’t necessarily equals better.
One is not particularly more important than the other, but you might want to focus on a few if they are the ones your diet lacks.
