1: laxatives like magnesium to clear you out before fasting
2: adequate electrolyte hydration leading up fast, tons of him salt, potassium salt, magnesium salt
3: being in mild ketosis at start of fast helps transition
4: probably my biggest unknown hack, magnesium oil topically during fasts
5: your body eats sunlight, lots of shirtless walking in short shorts, aiming for morning sun, mid day exposure, and getting sunlight as it sets. Each phase gives you different spectrum of UV.
These are all excellent suggestions. Especially, the magnesium oil. I’ve forgotten to use mine. Time to make a batch!
I would also personally add this: I do a bone broth fast (with lime juice and a healthy fat) for two or three days before the fast. I find that this allows my entire digestive system to clear out and move solid food “down the chute” more efficiently than only a salt/magnesium flush on the day before a fast. I usually still add a magnesium flush but I’ve found that the flush alone didn’t clear everything out for me.
By doing avoiding solid foods but still having some protein and fat (so as not to do a water fast before a dry fast), I felt more thoroughly “cleaned out”. I also found that I had less acid reflux on days 5 and beyond.
